Magnesian Gate

There were three entrances to Ephesus; The Magnesian Gate (on the road to the House of Mother Mary), the Koressos Gate (at the back of the Stadium), and the Harbor Gate. Although there are not many visible evidence, archaeological investigations show that Magnesian Gate consists of two towers on each side of the gate complex framing the entrance.

The Magnesian Gate is located in the southeast of the urban fortifications. The Gate was named after the city to which it leads, known as Magnesia on the Maeander.
